Evaluate a company’s financial reliability at a glance

The Navigora Score gives you a quick overview of a company’s financial strength and ability to meet its payment obligations.

Companies are rated from 0 to 5 stars. A higher score indicates stronger creditworthiness and a lower estimated risk of financial difficulties. The score is intended to support decision-making, not replace a complete company or credit assessment.

What do the stars mean?

A company with a high score is generally considered financially stable, while a low score may indicate a greater risk of payment difficulties.

How is the score calculated?

The score is calculated automatically using the company’s latest available financial information. The same calculation method is applied to all comparable companies.

The assessment considers several areas:

  • Profitability

  • Solvency

  • Liquidity

  • Financial efficiency

  • Growth

  • Company age

Financial indicators are also compared with typical results in the company’s industry. This helps account for differences between sectors, as a healthy financial structure may look different in construction, retail or professional services.

How is the score calculated?

Qualify sales prospects

Use the score to identify companies that are more likely to have the financial capacity to purchase your product or service.

A strong score can help you prioritize financially stable prospects, while a weak score may signal that further investigation is needed before investing significant sales resources.

Assess customers and partners

Review the score before offering long payment terms, entering a major agreement or starting a new partnership.

For lower-rated companies, you may want to:

  • Examine the latest financial statements

  • Check payment-related and company-change information

  • Use shorter payment terms

  • Request advance or partial payment

  • Monitor the company with Navigora Signals

Filter and compare companies

The Score can be used as a search and comparison criterion in Navigora.

For example, you could search for companies that:

  • Have at least 3.5 stars

  • Operate in a selected industry

  • Meet your revenue or employee criteria

  • Are located in a specific market

This makes it easier to build prospect lists that combine commercial fit with financial reliability.

Look beyond the number

The Score provides a useful summary, but it should not be considered alone.

The calculation is based mainly on the latest available financial statements, so changes occurring after the reporting date may not yet be reflected. A young company may also have limited financial history even when its current outlook is promising.

Review the score together with:

  • Recent financial development

  • Payment defaults and debt information

  • Company changes

  • Growth and profitability

  • Industry conditions

  • Current business signals

Make faster, better-informed decisions

The Navigora Score helps you quickly distinguish financially strong companies from those that may require closer attention.

Use it to prioritise prospects, assess business relationships and identify financial risk—but combine it with the wider company data available in Navigora before making important credit or partnership decisions.
