How to use Navigora Insights

Turn regional data into clearer decisions
Navigora Insights helps municipalities, regional development organisations and decision-makers understand and compare local economies. You can analyse business activity, industries, population, employment and companies’ contribution to regional tax revenue.
1. Select the areas
Choose one or several:
Municipalities
Subregions
Regions
Select one area for a detailed overview or several areas to compare their development and economic structure.
2. Choose industries
Analyse the entire regional economy or narrow the results to selected industries.
Industry filters help you answer questions such as:
Where is manufacturing strongest?
Which areas have the most technology companies?
How is a particular industry developing?
Which sectors contribute most to local employment?
3. Review the results
After running the search, Navigora Insights presents the data through charts and tables.
You can examine areas such as:
Population and employment
Business and industry structure
Companies operating in the area
Financial development
Employment created by companies
Companies’ contribution to municipal tax revenue
4. Compare areas
Use the Comparison section to view several areas side by side.
This helps you identify regional strengths, differences and development opportunities. For fairer comparisons, consider both total figures and figures relative to population size.
5. Analyze one area
Use the Area information section to examine one municipality, subregion or region more closely.
You can also select specific industries within the area. This is useful for regional reports, development planning and targeting business services.
5. Find decision-makers and contacts
The People section includes information about municipal councils, including:
Political-party distribution
Council members
Professions
Relevant organisational and company connections
The Contacts section contains contact information collected from municipal websites.
7. Compare regional indexes
Use Regional indexes to rank areas based on selected criteria.
The category
The year
The population range
The results can help you find strong-performing areas, suitable benchmarks and regions that require further analysis.
8. Export the data
Use Regional indexes to rank areas based on selected criteria.
Use Download Excel to export information from the Comparison and Area information sections.
Individual charts can also be downloaded as:
CSV data
Image files
This makes it easy to use the results in reports, presentations and further analysis.
Get better results
Begin with a clear question, compare reasonably similar areas and review several indicators together. Company count alone does not describe the full regional economy, so combine it with employment, financial development, population and industry data.
Navigora Insights gives you a clearer picture of how regions are developing—helping you target services, support local businesses and make decisions based on data rather than assumptions.
