Automate company monitoring and act on important changes sooner

Navigora Signals helps you monitor selected companies, discover new businesses that match your criteria and receive automatic notifications when something relevant happens.

Instead of repeatedly checking customers, prospects or target markets manually, you can create monitoring groups and let Navigora Signals keep watch for you. Notifications can be delivered inside Navigora, by email and, where supported, directly to your connected CRM.

What can you monitor with Navigora Signals?

Navigora Signals can be used to follow:
  • Existing customers, prospects or partners

  • Companies matching selected search criteria

  • New leads entering your target group

  • Specific types of company changes

  • Companies whose websites contain relevant keywords

  • Public procurement notices matching your criteria

Availability may depend on your Navigora plan and connected integrations.

1. Choose the companies you want to monitor

There are two main ways to create a monitoring group.

Monitor a fixed list of companies

Use this option when you already know which companies you want to follow, such as:

  • Current customers

  • Key accounts

  • Active prospects

  • Suppliers or partners

  • Competitors

Start by opening an existing company list or searching for the relevant companies in Navigora. Select the companies you want to follow and add them to Navigora Signals.

Because this is a fixed group, Navigora Signals monitors the companies you selected until you edit or remove the group.

Monitor companies matching your search criteria

Use this option when you want the monitored group to develop automatically.

First, create a company search using criteria such as location, industry, company size or financial performance. You can then create a Navigora Signals group containing all companies that match the search. A single monitoring group can contain up to 5,000 companies.

This is particularly useful for monitoring:

  • Companies in a selected market

  • Businesses with specific financial characteristics

  • Growing companies in a region

  • Potential customers matching your ideal customer profile

  • New companies entering a target segment

2. Create a new Navigora Signals group

Once you have selected a company list or completed your search:

  • Select the companies or search results you want to monitor.

  • Choose the option to add them to Navigora Signals.

  • Give the monitoring group a clear and descriptive name.

  • Select the company changes you want Navigora Signals to report.

  • Choose where and how frequently you want to receive notifications.

  • Save the group.

Use names that make the purpose of each group immediately clear, such as:

Key customers – financial changes
New manufacturing leads – Helsinki region
High-priority prospects – weekly monitoring

3. Select which changes matter

When creating a monitoring group, you can choose which types of changes should trigger an observation.

The most useful changes depend on the purpose of the group. Sales teams may want to monitor changes that indicate growth, restructuring or a new sales opportunity. Account managers may focus on developments affecting existing customers, while finance teams may prioritise financial distress and risk Navigora Signals.

Selecting only the most relevant changes keeps your notifications useful and prevents important signals from getting lost in unnecessary updates.

4. Choose your notification settings

Navigora Signals observations are always available inside Navigora. You can also receive notifications by email and, with a supported integration, through your CRM.

Email summaries can be delivered daily or weekly.

Daily notifications work well for high-priority customers, active deals and time-sensitive opportunities. Weekly summaries are often better for broader markets, competitor groups and lower-priority prospect lists.

5. Review your Navigora Signals observations

Open Navigora Signals to view all detected observations.

Your monitoring is divided into two main areas:

Monitored companies

The Monitored section contains groups built from companies you selected yourself, such as an existing customer or prospect list.

Leads

The Leads section contains companies that match the search criteria used to create a dynamic monitoring group. This allows you to identify relevant new companies without repeating the same search manually.

Review observations regularly and decide whether the detected change requires action, such as:

  • Contacting a prospect

  • Updating an account plan

  • Checking a company’s financial position

  • Informing the account owner

  • Moving a company into a sales campaign

  • Updating information in your CRM

6. Monitor companies using website keywords

You can also create a Navigora Signals group based on company website content.

Open the website search and enter the word or phrase you want to find. To search for an exact phrase, place it inside quotation marks.

For example:

  • “industrial automation”

  • “new production facility”

  • “sustainability consulting”

  • “expanding to Sweden”

After completing the website search, create a new Navigora Signals group from the matching results. This is useful when industry classifications alone do not describe your target audience accurately.

7. Monitor public procurement notices

Navigora Signals can also be used to follow public procurement notices through the HILMA integration.

Open the Public Procurements section in Navigora Signals and create a new monitoring group. You can narrow the results using available filters or enter relevant search terms in the same way you would use a search engine.

Separate different words or phrases with a comma or by pressing Enter.

After creating the group, Navigora displays procurement notices that already match your criteria and begins monitoring newly published notices.

To examine a notice, open the arrow next to its name. You can then view more detailed information and follow the link to the original notice. All notices belonging to the group remain available under Observations, and the group’s criteria can be changed later using the edit function.

Tips for more effective monitoring

Create groups based on the action you will take

Avoid one enormous group containing every customer, prospect and competitor. Smaller groups make observations easier to understand and act on.

Use precise search criteria

A narrowly defined search usually produces more relevant leads than a very broad one. Begin with your most important criteria and expand the search only when necessary.

Use quotation marks for exact website phrases

Searching for “renewable energy solutions” produces more precise results than searching for the same words separately.

Match the notification frequency to the group

Use daily notifications only when quick action creates genuine value. For broader market monitoring, a weekly summary is usually easier to manage.

Connect Navigora Signals to your CRM

When an integration is available, send relevant observations into the system where your sales and customer work already happens. This makes it easier to assign follow-up actions and maintain an up-to-date customer view.

Turn company changes into timely action

Navigora Signals is most valuable when every monitoring group has a clear purpose. Decide what you are looking for, which companies matter and what your team should do when a relevant observation appears.

Once the groups and notifications are in place, Navigora Signals handles the repetitive monitoring—giving your team more time to evaluate opportunities, contact the right companies and act before the signal becomes obvious to everyone else.
